Westray Digital Art is a small business run by Phill & Marlene Hellewell.
Westray is an ideal location for anyone with an artistic leaning. The land and sea often provide dramatic subject material with the weather sometimes displaying all four seasons in a single day! It is no wonder then, that many artists come to Westray either to visit or to settle.
The prints available from our online store are either from raw digital photographs or photographs that have been digitally reworked (sometimes extensively) to highlight certain features or moods.
Please note that sales are only online at www.westraydigitalart.co.uk as we do not have a gallery or studio available to visit.

Edwin Rendall has lived on Westray all his life. Living on an island, with an ever-changing landscape and its roots embedded in many centuries of diverse historical influence, his work, therefore, is created using a variety of materials and styles, reflecting the past and representing the present.

A wide selection of hand-made cards, bookmarks, gift tags and pictures using wild grasses and plants sourced on Westray and backed by beautiful mulberry or painted watercolour paper. Each one unique and evoking the sea, sky and land you will find on this exquisite island. Come and visit John in his workshop at Lightcost - watch him craft his cards, or maybe have a go yourself . . .
The Westray Art Gallery is situated on the magical North Orkney Island of Westray. The Island is renowned for its sparkling light, dramatic sky and contrasting sea and landscapes. Since 2004 The Gallery has been the home, studio and exhibition gallery of artist Peter Brown. Westray has a progressive community, which is attracting a growing number of artists and crafts people. The aim of The Gallery is to present ongoing exhibitions of contemporary paintings, prints and artworks by Peter in an inviting and stimulating setting. Also on show is the work by guest artists.
